Our little boy is NINE months old! I seriously can’t even believe that it’s been 9 months. People tell you time flies when you start having kids and you just say yeah, I know. BUT IT DOES. He has become quite the little personality lately. Very strong-willed and knows what he wants. Throwing things when he doesn’t want them, pitching a fit. Yay!! 😀 So he’s been on a food strike for like a month and a half and wouldn’t eat anything but yogurt and yogurt bites. Refused baby food. I would cook all sorts of veggies, give him fruits, the whole works, and nothing. He spit it all out. Finally, within the last week or so he just all of a sudden started eating table foods. Started with fried rice, with some chicken, because, why not, and he just shoveled it in. Then it was sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots, you name it… he’s eating almost anything we give him now! Except eggs. Still doesn’t like eggs. He’s still doing 4 bottles a day. And still sleeping from about 8ish until about 7. His two top teeth are coming in! They finally broke through a few days ago. These have been a PAIN. Poor thing. And now he is completely mobile. Cruising around everything, standing on his own for like 2 seconds when he’s not thinking about it. All over the place. Which is why I finally had to break down and get the play room finished so he wasn’t so confined in the living room. My mom came down for a few days and we worked and worked and cleaned out and fixed up and got it done! Cooper LOVES it. He has so much freedom and has so much fun crawling everywhere doing what he wants. He is trying to talk so bad. He will yell back and forth with you, he’s saying B sounds, D sounds, and sometimes M. He can find his Little Blue Truck book when you ask him to go get it. He can pick out certain animals from his little farm kit. We ask him where things are on the wall or in the house and he will look at them. He loves giving big Cooper kisses! We went to the beach this month for a whole week! He loved the beach and playing in the sand and splashing the water. He wasn’t out there much every day, it was just so hot and he would be over it really fast. His grandma was with us and kept him occupied inside while we were out. It was a fun week! Next year he will be running all over the place! I can only imagine how fast these next few months will go. Hi 9 month appointment was quick and easy, no shots! He’s 19lbs 2 oz and 28.5 in long! He is finally on the charts around 40-50%, yay! Growing boy.
