I can’t believe how fast ten months have come and gone. I mean, I know I sound like a broken record, and probably will be for the rest of my life. But seriously. Cooper, my little baby, is almost a year old!! He’s starting to be a little fireball. He thoroughly enjoys screaming, just to hear himself scream. He will throw everything behind him when he’s done with it or it’s in his way. He is standing on his own now, and is really trying to walk. All within a week or two he has figured it out. It’s amazing how fast they catch on to something once they figure it out. He can squat down and bounces up on his feet when sitting down. He loves giving kisses. He is walking with his walker, pointing at things, will find items you ask him to, turn the light switch off… .He’s a little sponge right now! He’s not eating as great as he was with table food, he’s very picky right now. I thought it was teething, but it’s been a few weeks now so who knows. He “talks” all the time, but only clearly saying Mama, and tries to say bye bye while waving. He has muttered Dada a couple times, but won’t say that one on demand. He loves books! Definitely didn’t get that from his Mom. :-/ He is still sleeping pretty good at night, going to bed between 8 and 8:30 and usually wakes up around 7ish, although some mornings if he is up at all during the night he will sleep until about 8 or so. He has been getting  up crying during the night for the past few weeks every so often. It’s like he’s scared, and then it’s hard to get him to go back down. So… big news for the Blalock’s… Bubba accepted a promotion in a new position in Tampa, FL. :-O Definitely didn’t see that one in the cards for us, but very proud of him and I know he’s super excited about taking on this new role and challenge. He will be a Health & Wellness Market Director, meaning he will be in charge of the pharmacies and vision centers in about 13 Walmart stores in the Tampa area. Definitely not ideal for us to move, but it’s ultimately what is best for our little family in the future and hopes of coming back to Georgia one day. So Bubba has already started his training all over Florida, he flies out every Monday and comes back every Thursday. He will officially start mid-November. We are supposed to go down and look at houses next week with a realtor that Walmart setup for us, but, as of now, there’s a slight problem with that, seeing that the largest hurricane ever recorded decided to show up…. so… we will be playing that by ear. (Thanks Irma) We are excited and nervous and sad… just hard to process. Definitely better to do now while Cooper is still young before he starts school though.

And I can’t write this post without acknowledging that Cooper’s new little best friend was born Tuesday! Welcome to the world Brayden Britt! Cooper can’t wait to play with you! 🙂 And just on a sidenote… when people tell you that they forget how TINY their baby was and can’t imagine they were EVER that small….. It’s totally true. Cooper was a half a pound SMALLER than little Brayden and I felt like I had never held something so tiny. He’s adorable.
